But it's a new year!
I'm dedicating 2017 to my blog!

Cover Girl Ready Set Gorgeous Foundation Review

Cover Girl came out with some new collections for the summer. 

Here is their #instaglam collection with Katy Perry promoting it. 

I love trying new makeup so as soon as I heard I went to my local Walgreens and bought some!
They have a great range of colors which is usually hard to find in drugstore brands! 

Here are my colors:

Foundation 310

Powder Foundation 305-310

The foundation contains no SPF but I use one under my makeup so that wasn't an issue for me. 

Its fragrance free.

It has a matte finish which I personally love.

And its oil free.

I was going to be out all day today so I applied it at 9am.

Full face makeup

It kept me shine free for about 5-6 hours. I didn't touch up at all during those 5 hours. Because it didn't make me look greasy, just a bit dewy. 

It concealed most of my freckles but didn't conceal major dark spots on my face. 

How I applied it: 

I don't show my SPF application because, I automatically wake up in the am, wash my face and apply my SPF daily

 So I then apply my primer by pressing it into my face 

Here I am using my Too Faced Primed Poreless primer. 

 

I put about 7-8 dots of foundation on my face, and then blend it out with my beauty blender

Now, here it is after 5 hours with full makeup

after 9 hours

Overall, I love it, it felt lightweight, almost like a tinted moisturizer.

 The foundation evened out my redness and gave 

me medium coverage. 

This will definitely be my go to foundation during the summer here in Florida!

Sephora Haul

Here is my latest Sephora Haul. 

I had 2 gift cards so out of pocket, I only spent $14!! 

I bought this Tarte Amazon Escape palette.  (Retail $44)

I love the texture of these eyeshadows. 

I swatched them below. 

I have always been a fan of their blush, so this palette was a great deal!
I'll update this post with a look soon. 

I also bought this Urban Decay Naked Kit. (Retail $49)

You can tell from the swatches that the color is too light for me. 

So I'll either try to exchange it or I'll give it away.

But I 've wanting to try the b6 Prep and just from swatching, I love it! 

I'll do a full day review with it and update the post. 

Halloween Looks

I decided to try a few different looks for halloween to see what I'd like best.
Here is what I came up with.
I don't really have a name for it, but it was based off a picture my brother sent me.
I made my lips using toilet paper and glue.
Everything else was done with makeup.
I really liked the result, but it might be to scary to take my daughter trick-or-treating with.

Here is what the lips and teeth look like after I took everything off. 

My 2nd look is what I wore to my daughter's halloween party. I figured the kids would think I was dressed as a clown. 

It didn't scare any of the kids and they all wanted me to paint their face, so I think it was a success as well.

This look is a half sugar skull half classic look. 

I may decide to do something different on Halloween, and if I do, I'll post a tutorial on it :)

Model in a Bottle - Long Lasting Eyebrow Sealer [Review]

For as long as I can remember I've had very thin eyebrows and always have to draw them in.
I've had them tattooed twice and they have faded both times.
I have tried almost every product out there for eyebrows, such as, eyebrow pencils, MAC fluidline, brow powder, eyeshadow.
Everything fades because I have extremely oily skin.
I finally decided to try Model in a Bottle Long Lasting Eyebrow Sealer
I'm hoping my eyebrows maintain their shape, color, overall appearance after a few hours.
So I bought Model in a Bottle from Amazon and so far, I love it.
My eyebrows have kept their color and shape for at least 6-8 hours.
This really does "seal" it, it leaves it almost like hairspray feeling on top.
It's not shiny after it dries.
But I am getting tons of compliments.

This picture was taken after being busy all day with my daughter and nephew. 

So not only am I oily, but also sweating from running around LOL

I was outside most of the day as well.

Overall, I love the product. I'd love to test it out on a "night out".

MAC Marilyn Monroe Fall 2012 Makeup Collection

I am so excited!!!
I heard about this line a while back and it is finally coming out.
I love the colors that are coming out with this collection, but more importantly I just love Marilyn Monroe!

Can you tell by my blog name why?
Yes I was named after her HAHA.
Thank you dad for loving Marilyn and naming me after her LOL
